I have so many things to share! lol. I have been away for so long. It has been so hard to keep this thing updated. I need to get it together and share some pictures of things I have done and the boys have been so busy as well. This was the first year Caeden played football and it was tackle football. He looked so cute in his uniform and he was so good at it. Adrian is playing baseball and is doing so good! We finally got him some sports glasses and boy do they make a difference! I know I really need to add some pictures. I will. Slowly but surely I will. The boys have started school and boy does Caeden hate to wake up. I have started a full time job so I am always busy doing something. I have been keeping up with exercise at least. I have started to run. ME! RUN! I know it is crazy to think about but I do and I really enjoy. It. I am going back to Minnesota this week. My grandmother has passed away and I am going to her funeral. I am happy that I am finally making the trip back. I made her a heritage album when my grandfather passed away. I haven’t seen it in 5 years. I am really excited to see it again. I am sure it will make me cry.

So that is it for now. I have made a few things and I was doing really good and creating pages but then I started working. I really need to upload some pics of my recent layouts and projects. Until then I hope everybody is doing well. I will do my best to get more stuff on here. LOVE YOU ALL!

After our weekend in Denver we made our way to Colorado Springs. We stayed at my best friend’s house, Laura. Thankfully she got a job just before I came out but the sad thing is she started the day I came back. At least she put me to good use babysitting for her two kids part time. I really enjoyed spending time with them. We went swimming one day and Jessie let me fix her hair. I loved playing with the little girl, MY GIRL! The boys just played and played and played. Jordan was so cute always wanting Caeden. My brother and wife took my boys to a baseball game with their cousins one night and Jordan was so cute asking when Caeden would be back! What great friends they are just like their moms! I was able to eat at my favorite place, La Baguette. Man, it was soooooo good! We watched So You Think You Can Dance when Laura got home from work, boy I wish we could have spent more time together. Friday night the girls went for a night on the town. It was fun to hang out again just us girls! Of course Laura attracted a young guy like always! lol. Tasha and I of course were on the dance floor shaking what our momma’s gave us. lol. Good Times……………….

Oh so you want to hear about the party……. well, the prep started early and as hard of work it was it was even more fun! Larry and Jenny graciously allowed the party to be at their house and it was such a great time!! Even the kids loved every minute. I played tetherball again and of course beat Adrian! lol. There were shots going on in the kitchen as well as my mom sneaking the good wine out of the basement. Too much fun stuff to mention! It certainly was a great time for great parents!! See the pics below!

Driving in felt so weird. Things really did change from when we left. It was weird to visit and feel like it wasn’t home anymore. We sure have lots of wonderful memories in Colorado and I sure do miss all of the wonderful friends I have met there. It was great to see all of those special people again and miss them even more. Our trip was kinda short and sweet. If only I were able to see Amy and Sonja it would have been better! I also would have liked to spend more time with Daisy and Armando, but darn their jobs!! lol. The boys played their hearts out the minute we got there. Adrian spent the weekend at his friend’s house (Jacob). Caeden and I stayed at his friend’s house (Mitchell). Al and Heather (Mitchell’s parents) were very hospitable and gave me my own studio apartment to stay in. It is called a cottage and is just above the garage on their property. It was really wonderful of them. We spent days playing and nights eating and drinking. lol. It was great fun! We can’t wait to see our friends once again! Everybody is welcome to come on down for a visit, we have a room just for you 🙂

Caeden skipping rocks

Before we left for Colorado we went to check out the closest lake. It wasn’t bad. It was a pretty nice day, not too hot. The water was of a good temp. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves for awhile so we spread out enjoying the little bit of sand around us. The boys took turns burrying each other and skipping rocks. They enjoyed swiming in the lake too. Next time I would really like to bring our jet ski. Around noon more people started showing up and about 1p.m. another big family walked through our spot and started taking their shoes off (in the middle of our stuff) and wrecking the kids sand castle. I was angry how rude!! Of course the boys were upset and without Steven this large family with teen boys didn’t care about us. Needless to say we shared the sand and they actually stayed in the water most of the time so it was okay once I asked them to stay on their side after I moved the toys.

Boys at lake

So I finally went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention on June 5th & 6th. YAY!! It is what I have been waiting on since moving to Texas in Feb. It was fun shopping and I took two wonderful classes, one was this house. Walking around I saw many of the things that I usually see at these type things granted this was on a larger scale. There were lots of stores and a ton of dotcom stores that came. One thing I saw that was really new was this mixed media art. It combines my love for creating jewelry with scrapbooking! I am so happy right now. It was intimidating at first and I am sure I will feel this way for awhile but I am excited to learn this new way to enjoy my crafting. I hope you enjoy and I will share what I make as soon as I can. I will be leaving to Colorado in one week! There is so much to get done but I am excited to go. We are visiting friends in Denver and Colorado Springs. We are throwing my father his 60th B-day and retirement party so it whould be lots of fun. Expect lots of pictures 🙂

most mornings. Lately, I have been walking around the very large park right across the street called Celebration Park. It has a mile and a half trail that goes around the many soccer, football & baseball fields as well as a great playground including a water area that I sometimes run through to get cooled off. I usually walk around it at least twice. What a great way to start the day; with a clear head and appreciation of nature. There are baby ducks that have grown so quick and now just born are baby swans. It is so great to watch them follow their mothers so diligently without hesitation. I sure wish my kids would do that! lol. Sometimes you can see the slider turtles sunbathing and quickly go under as you walk by. There are also gorgeous birds: Red Robins, Scissor Tails and other I don’t know the names of. Anyway, I haven’t been writing lately, we have just been busy swimming and relaxing enjoying that days that we have spent together. Summer is near and the kids will be out of school and I will long for my walks around the park. I have to find a way to make it work.

Sorry that it has taken me so long to post. Nothing really going on too much here. I do have some things to post and some pitures for you all to see. Mother’s Day weekend was okay. I suppose I could post some pictures about what I got. Well, Steven needed shorts for work and knew he couldn’t get away with buying himself something on Mother’s day, so needless to say we went on a small shopping spree. It was fun and Caeden was such a good boy! The boys got some great new shoes and other items too! I didn’t even think to post those. Duh! Anyway, I have to go up and take pictures of stuff I am trying to set up on ebay to be auctioned. Lots of Creative Memories stuff and it is sad to let it go. So I am off to take some pictures!! Wish me luck and money to be earned to go towards my spending at the Great Amercian Scrapbook Convention!
